BYP Fund
Supporting the community
Bristol Young Professionals has a fund with the Quartet Community Foundation. Quartet is a Bristol-based charity who have managed funds on behalf of individuals and groups throughout the South-West since 1987.
Quartet manages over 130 charitable funds which award over £2.5 million worth of grants every year to those in the most need throughout the local community.
Quartet has had a fund for young people in Bristol to donate to since 2003. This fund was previously called 'Bristol 500' due to its aim to attract 500 people to give at least £5 a month. In order to reflect the link with BYP the fund has now been renamed 'Bristol Young Professionals Fund'.
The BYP also donate to the fund from other fundraising initiatives throughout the year. The aim is to grow the fund, using half of the contributions to make one or two major grants a year and the remaining half to grow a long-term fund – an endowment fund – retaining the capital and using the income generated for future grants.
